I consider the greatest obstacle in health and wellness right now to be the overload of information.
We read one article, and it’s telling us to only eat vegetables, and then the next it’s telling us to only eat meat. Then when we’re looking for advice on exercise, one podcast is telling us that we should all be out running in order to lose weight, and then the next documentary is telling us that we only need to lift weights to get leaner.
All in all, our society knows a lot more about health and wellness than we did 20 years ago, and most certainly than 50 years ago, as you can see from this Time Magazine photo.
We are beyond fortunate that within one or two clicks we can learn about the science behind food and exercise by learning from experienced, passionate professionals. A few favorites I would recommend are:
